The BatMan3-EV is a battery monitoring and measuring
instrument. It's intended use, is to measure the performance of
batteries used in electric vehicle applications. It measures and
displays four quantities:
1. Battery current. -750 to +140A.
2. Battery Capacity remaining “Fuel Gauge”.
3. Battery Voltage +20 to +400V.
4. Amp/Hours used since reset. + 999.99 to -999.99Ah.

Negative values indicate current out of the battery (discharge),
positive values indicate current into the battery (charge).
The “Fuel Gauge” will be all black till you have used one
eighth of the set capacity. The picture indicates a draw
of 124A out of the battery, more than one fourth of the battery
capacity has been used, the voltage is around 262V, and
38Amp/Hours have been used so far. In this example, it was
set for a capacity of 120 Amp/Hours.

Dimensions:
3.26" High by 5.63" Wide x 0.91" Thick, not
including the knob. The display characters are
4.84mm(0.2") wide by 9.66mm(0.38") high.

Installation.
The BatMan3-EV is connected to the Vehicle through an 8 pin
screw terminal connector located on the back of the unit.
Current is measured with a 500A=50mV shunt connected
between the negative side of the traction pack, and all load
connections. With the connector on the left, the pins, from the
top, have the following signals:
1. Backlight Negative.
2. Backlight Positive.
3. Internal Backlight Power Positive.
4. Meter Negative (Shunt load side).
5. Shunt Load Side.
6. Shunt Battery Side.
7. Battery Pack Positive.
8. Meter Power (+8 to +80V).

Connecting the shunt on the positive side of
the battery WILL DAMAGE the unit!
